Greater Montreal and West Island’s public transit is changing on May 18, 2026. Here's what you need to know!

In Spring 2026, the REM is extending the network to the West Island with a new branch connecting Anse-à-l’Orme to the network. This new A3 branch adds new stations: Des Sources, Fairview-Pointe-Claire, Kirkland, and Anse-à-l’Orme.

If you travel in the West Island or take the REM, your usual trip will likely change.

This new branch is part of the Réseau express métropolitain, which will be expanded in 2027: a new branch is expected to connect the Montréal Airport to the rest of the network (Marie-Curie and YUL-Montréal-Trudeau Airport stations).
